Development of a Beneficiary Management Database

Finn Church Aid, an organization dedicated to supporting people in need, sought to enhance its relief distribution efforts in Kenya and Somalia. The challenge was to develop a web-based Beneficiary Management System to improve the monitoring and evaluation of aid distribution, ensuring efficiency and accountability.

Finn Church Aid collaborated with Indepth Research Institute (IRES) to develop a comprehensive Beneficiary Management Database. This system aimed to centralize beneficiary information, streamline data collection, and enhance the monitoring and evaluation of relief distribution.

Key Outputs

1. Database System: IRES successfully developed and implemented a robust database system. This system centralized beneficiary data, allowing for efficient tracking and management of relief distribution efforts.
2. User’s Manual and Training of Staff: A detailed user’s manual was created to guide staff through the system's functionalities. Additionally, IRES conducted training sessions to ensure staff were well-equipped to use the new system effectively.
3. Source Code: The source code for the Beneficiary Management Database was provided, allowing for future customization and enhancements to meet evolving needs.

The implementation of the Beneficiary Management Database significantly improved Finn Church Aid's ability to manage and monitor its relief distribution in Kenya and Somalia.
